System requirements

A legislative LEL control/ monitoring system must comply with national Standards and in future with the European Standard EN 1539.

The following basic rules apply:

• fail safe system
• continuous measurement of the solvent concentration
• usage of certified solvent sensors. (depending on country)

Continuous LEL monitoring

For each sensing location there is one sensor in a sampling system. The sampling system sucks the measuring gas and gives a continuous reading. Continuous LEL monitoring/ Control For each sensing location there are two sensors in a sampling system. The sampling system sucks the measuring gas and gives a continuous reading. The signal of the first sensor is used for monitoring. The signal of the second sensor is used for controlling the solvent concentration and the extract air volume of the printing unit.
